Ministry and Abu Dhabi Chamber emphasize growth

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), in collaboration with the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, conducted a workshop to promote awareness about incentives and advantages supporting the growth of the industrial sector in the UAE and Abu Dhabi. The workshop, titled “Empowering Industrial Excellence: Strategies for Growth by MoIAT,” was held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber’s building.

The workshop was attended by Salama Al Awadhi, Director of the National In-Country (ICV) Programme at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Arafat Al Yafei, Executive Director of the Industrial Development Bureau, and representatives from national and global industrial companies operating in Abu Dhabi.

The workshop covered various national initiatives supporting the UAE’s industrial sector, including “Operation 300bn” as part of the UAE’s Industrial Strategy, the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS), the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme, the ‘Industrialists Programme,’ and strategic agreements. It also emphasized the Abu Dhabi Chamber’s role in making Abu Dhabi a top choice in the MENA region for business and its commitment to supporting the industrial sector’s growth.

Salama Al Awadhi, Director of the ICV Programme at MoIAT, highlighted the ministry’s collaboration with public and private sector partners to strengthen the national industrial and technological landscape. She stressed the ministry’s commitment to enhancing the industrial sector’s role and supporting local investors, small and medium-sized companies through incentives, and industry leaders.

Arafat Al Yafei, Executive Director of the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), discussed the achievements and goals of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy and the significant investments in various programs aimed at expanding the manufacturing sector and creating skilled jobs.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber regularly organizes initiatives, workshops, and events to serve as a bridge between the private sector and the government, further strengthening its role as a service provider to the business community.
