Pietso’s Al Wahda confirms pre-season plans

Al Wahda confirmed that new head coach Pitso Mosimane and the team will begin preparations for the new season at a training camp in Serbia.

Mosiman announced his debut as Al Wahda at the weekend, just days after announcing his parting ways with Saudi Arabia’s First Division champions Al Ahly.

It looked like Mosimane would be in trouble almost immediately, with the club confirming that their training camp in Serbia will begin on July 1.

The UAE will also play friendlies against the likes of CR Belouizdad and Raja Casablanca in preparation for the King Salman Cup.

“Al Wahda FC has decided to hold an external training camp in Serbia from July 1st to July 17th as part of its preparations for the upcoming season.

“The team will return to Abu Dhabi in preparation for the group stage of the King Salman Club Cup before traveling to Abha, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on July 20.

“The first-team build-up started yesterday, Tuesday 20 June, and will continue until Saturday 27 June, when the players will undergo medical checks and body measurements.
