Sean Hayes pays tribute to Leslie Jordan.
The award-winning actor died in a car crash in Los Angeles on Monday morning (Oct. 24/22) and his former “Will and Grace” co-star has admitted to being heartbroken.
Along with a throwback photo of the diminutive actor, Sean, who played Jack McFarland on the NBC sitcom, tweeted: “My heart is broken. Leslie Jordan is my honor to work with One of the funniest people ever. Everyone who met him loved him. There will never be someone like him. A unique gift with a huge, loving heart. You will be missed , my dear friend.”
Eric McCormack, who played Will Truman on the sitcom, also paid tribute to his former co-star on social media.
He wrote on the Weibo platform: “So glad to hear of the passing of @thelesliejordan, the funniest and sexiest southern gentleman I’ve ever known. The joy and joy he brought to each of his #WillandGrace episodes. The laughter is palpable. Almost thirty years gone. You are loved dear. [broken heart emoji] (sic)”
Elsewhere, Lynda Carter fondly recalled the humorous video Jordan posted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The actress, best known for starring in the “Wonder Woman” TV series, tweeted: “Leslie Jordan made a lot of people laugh, especially in his pandemic video. Make us all laugh Laughing, what a feat.” Being connected in such a trying time…felt so cruel, that this could happen to such a beautiful soul. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Star Trek actor George Takei admitted to being “shocked” by the news.
The 85-year-old star – best known for her role as Hikaru Sulu – wrote: “I am devastated by the death of Leslie Jordan, many of his roles on TV and in film made us happy. The cause of death was a car accident after he suffered After the medical emergency. Our hearts are broken for your loss, Leslie, and we will miss your joy and your unparalleled spirit.”
