Sheikh Mohammed meets the viral Dubai-loving boy

Recall Badr, the Kuwaiti boy who went viral for his affection for Dubai and the Burj Khalifa? Well, he recently fulfilled his dream by visiting Dubai and meeting its Ruler.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had a heartwarming meeting with Badr and his family. Photos of their encounter were shared online, showing Sheikh Mohammed engaged in conversation with Badr and his brother, holding the young boy’s hand.

In another touching image, Badr comfortably sits on one side of the Ruler, beaming with joy and leaning towards him.

Badr’s Affection for Dubai and the Royal Invitation

Back in July, Badr gained viral fame through an interview with a Kuwaiti news outlet where he expressed his desire to visit Dubai and witness the Burj Khalifa. Interestingly, he was already en route to the emirate for the Eid holidays at that time, filled with excitement even though it wouldn’t be his first encounter with the world’s tallest building.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, shared the video on his Instagram story, extending a personal invitation to Badr and his family to explore the magnificent attractions and sights that Dubai has to offer.

In his words, “To anyone who knows Badr, convey my invitation to him and his family to visit Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa and our other splendid landmarks.”
