Key moments in Jake Paul and Tommy Fury’s battle of wits in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: With less than a week to go, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will be in Saudi Arabia as they prepare to finally settle their long-running feud in the ring at the Diria Arena on February 26.

Twice postponed, Paul vs. Fury sees the two undefeated boxers face off in the latest headline boxing match in Saudi Arabia. Following the “Battle on the Dunes” between Andy Ruiz Jr. and Anthony Joshua in 2019 and last summer’s “Rage of the Red Sea,” Joshua is back with Alexander · Oleksandr Usyk had a second meeting.

“I’m very happy to finally be in Saudi Arabia,” Fury said upon arrival at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. “First of all, I would like to thank the Ministry of Sports, the Saudi Arabian Boxing Federation, Prince Khalid, and all for their efforts to keep this fight going and in what is fast becoming the new home of global sport.

“I’ve trained too hard, fought too many decent guys, and had too much experience to have any other results. Nothing Jake Paul did in that ring worried me. He was delusional Believe in yourself to win – I’m at a higher level than him and he’s going to find that out the hard way.”

Paul responded with similar dismissiveness. “I will show him on February 26 that this is a harmful business,” Paul said. “I’ve played tougher guys, they’re world champions, they’re number one in their division, so the preparation couldn’t have been better and I don’t have any pressure on this fight. People will definitely see a Knockout, and I’d finish him in three or four rounds. When I broke up with him, Tommy wasn’t going to enjoy the sport anymore.”

Ravi Samani, Chief Operating Officer and Acting Head of Marketing, Public Relations and Communications at Skill Challenge Entertainment, said: “We are now close to another epic event on the shores of Saudi Arabia. We cannot (wait for) the ‘truth’.” It is said that this is a “blockbuster encounter” not to be missed.

Fight week includes a press conference on Thursday 23 February with local, regional and international media in attendance. The official weigh-in will be on Saturday 25th February.

Paul (6-0, 4 KOs) started out as an actor and social media personality before turning pro in boxing. Now a global phenomenon, the popular American notched stoppage victories against UFC legends Tyronn Woodley and Anderson Silva.

Fury also entered the game with confidence. Tyson Fury, the WBC half-brother and straight heavyweight champion, has an impeccable record (8-0, 4 knockouts) in his career and insists his victory “has come to fruition.” a foregone conclusion,” predicting that his opponent “will not hear the final bell.”

In addition to the main event, “The Truth” has a mouth-watering hole card. Ilunga Makabu pits his WBC heavyweight world title against former two-weight world champion Badou Jack. Additionally, rising Saudi boxing star Ziyad Almaayouf will look to continue to improve his career against Ronald Martinez, while Ragad Al-Naimi made history by becoming the first female Saudi boxer to make her professional debut.
