Data cloud company Snowflake’s product revenue for the 12 months ended January 31, 2023 rose 72% year-on-year to $268.2 million, with global product revenue reaching $1.94 billion.

The company’s global net revenue retention rate is 158%. The company has approximately 1,289 EMEA employees and more than 5,880 employees globally, a significant increase from the previous year, which had 766 EMEA employees and almost 4,000 global employees.

Snowflake’s EMEA customer count grew to 1,678, up 34% year-over-year, and its global total reached 7,828 customers (up 31% year-over-year).

survey results

100% of Snowflake customers surveyed in the Dresner Advisory Survey 2023 said they would recommend Snowflake to another organization for the 6th year in a row.

As of June 2022, Snowflake’s Net Promoter Score reached 72, further enhancing its “customer first” #1 value, with the majority of customers recommending Snowflake to a colleague or friend. That score is more than three times the industry average of 19, according to the Qualtrics 2021 NPS Industry Benchmark Report.

More than 100 companies have joined the EMEA Startup Program, launched more than a year ago, enabling the next generation of data startups to build on Snowflake.

Snowflake’s 2023 fiscal year sees the company continue to transform its EMEA sales force into a vertically-focused model, driving broader customer adoption and consumption in the region, delivering development and innovation related to data and application collaboration, and enhancing its Developer Product Availability Snowpark’s GA.

laser focus

“In FY23, we focused on transforming and strengthening our position as an established vertical company. This allows us to have deeper conversations with our customers, with every function from sales to marketing driving our bespoke industry data value of cloud offerings to meet industry-related opportunities and requirements ranging from financial services to retail,” said Alison Tierney, Senior Vice President EMEA, Snowflake.

“We will continue to innovate Snowflake Data Cloud and provide more customized vertical solutions in the near future to ensure that we meet the needs of more industries.”

“Looking forward to the year ahead, Snowflake EMEA sees an increase in business and technology conversations among our EMEA customers in several core areas: Snowpark, Customer 360 and ESG,” added Tierney. “Data forms the core of these conversations. Using Snowpark as an example, we are increasing the opportunities for customers to develop new applications directly on Snowflake in the language of their choice, where the work involves data, not the other way around.

By unlocking data previously trapped in historical silos, Customer 360 is helping companies truly understand the end-to-end customer journey; while ESG data has become an essential business obligation for assessing sustainability goals and setting goals to ensure we have a positive impact on the planet . ”

Snowflake Summit 2023

Snowflake will host its largest annual event, Snowflake Summit 2023, June 26-29 in Las Vegas. There will be thousands of data professionals participating in 10 tracks, more than 250 sessions and 200 partners in the “Data Collaborative World”. Last year’s Snowflake Summit had 9,000 in-person attendees and over 11,500 virtual event registrants.

Snowflake has been focused on updating and developing new innovations for its platform:

*Snowflake released new platform innovations, including two new workloads:

*Unistore offers a modern approach to both transactional and analytical data in one platform. Unistore simplifies the development of transactional applications while providing clients with consistent governance, powerful performance and near-infinite scale.

*Network Security provides a unified, secure and scalable data platform to help security teams eliminate blind spots and respond to cloud-scale threats.

* Data programmability enhancements: Snowpark for Python (GA) and native integration with Streamlit (PrPr) (currently in development) give data scientists, data engineers and application developers access to Python’s rich ecosystem of open source packages and libraries , to simplify the process of developing, building, and sharing interactive applications. 20% of customers have now tried Snowpark.

*Snowflake’s native application framework enables developers to build applications and monetize them on the Snowflake Marketplace. Consumers can securely install and run these applications directly in their Snowflake instances, reducing the need for mobile data.

Global Enterprise Momentum

Snowflake’s enterprise momentum has been fueled by the launch of Telco Data Cloud, employee growth and multiple acquisitions, all of which have enabled organizations to mobilize data globally.

Telco Data Cloud – Telco service providers can leverage the Snowflake Telco Data Cloud to break down data silos within companies and across ecosystems, enabling organizations to easily and securely access data in near real-time, enriched by machine learning (ML) models data, then share and analyze it to make better decisions. With the Telco Data Cloud, Snowflake and its partner ecosystem can help telecom service providers accelerate digital transformation, achieve superior customer experience, maximize operational efficiency, and monetize new data services.
