The Strait of Hormuz tensions are still not resolved, and UAE residents are feeling the effects on Friday. Talks aimed at reopening the waterway are ongoing, but officials have not reached a final deal yet.

Aviation regulators in Europe have also extended warnings covering parts of Gulf airspace. That means a confirmed flight booking is not always a guarantee, so travellers are advised to check their airline’s app before heading to the airport.
Oil markets are reacting too. Brent crude climbed to around $83.60 a barrel on Friday, while US crude touched roughly $78.12. Traders say the increase reflects growing concern that reopening the strait could take longer than expected.
