Suqia UAE board discusses plans for 2023

The board of the UAE Water Foundation (Suqia UAE) discussed Suqia’s plan for 2023 at its recent meeting under the framework of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Directors, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors. These include His Excellency Fahad Abdelrahman bin Sultan, Under-Secretary-General for Development and International Cooperation of the Emirates Red Crescent and Vice-Chairman of Suqia’s Board of Directors; His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Ali Murad, Vice-Provost for Research, UAE University; and Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Executive Vice-Chancellor, Khalifa University Nasser Lootah, Executive Vice President, Power Generation (Power and Water), DEWA; Waleed Bin Salman, Executive Vice President, Business Development and Excellence, DEWA; Mohammed Abdulkareem Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director, Suqia; Humaid Al Hammadi, Acting Secretary to the Board.

“In Suqa, UAE, we have consolidated the UAE’s position as one of the world’s largest status to strengthen humanitarian, development and community work. It also contributes to the goals of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, as we are protected by it. We This is achieved through cooperation with international organizations, implementation of development projects and provision of drinking water to communities suffering from water scarcity and pollution. The Suqia project has benefited more than 13.6 million people in 37 countries around the world,” said Al Tayer.

The meeting discussed Souca’s plans for 2023, including volunteering and project inspection visits in coordination with the Emirates Red Crescent and Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum charitable and humanitarian agencies, as well as external relief activities . Members discussed a media campaign to raise awareness of the importance of providing water to impoverished communities. The meeting also discussed Suqia’s preparations for the annual Ramadan event in partnership with Mai Dubai to distribute water bottles, and Suqia’s launch of a smart app that keeps users informed about its projects and initiatives.
