time to venture back Outer Banks!
The popular Netflix series will officially return for its third season on February 23, Netflix announced Tuesday. Along with the premiere date news, the streaming service also released several photos related to the upcoming series and promotional trailer art with the tagline, “There’s nothing to lose.”
Outer Banks The series premiered on Netflix in April 2020. The show follows a group of teenagers from working-class backgrounds who stumble upon a treasure linked to the group’s leader’s missing father.

According to Netflix’s description, Season 3’s Outer Banks It begins when Pogues are washed up on a deserted island after losing their gold and fleeing their homeland. Their new location “looks like an idyllic home”, but for the show’s core team “things are going south soon”.
“They find themselves once again embroiled in a race for treasure, literally in a run for their lives,” reads Netflix’s synopsis.
“They’re broke, far from home, they can’t trust anyone, Ward and Rafe are hungry for revenge, and there’s a ruthless Caribbean Don who will stop at nothing to find a bounty,” the description continues. “Is the treasure within their reach? Or is this just a trap to stop them once and for all? Either way, it’s the Pogues against the world – and the only way out is to come together.”

Series creators and executive producers Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke also joked Season 3 “The Stakes Are Rising”.
“The Pogues realized their adventures in the first two seasons were just the prelude to all the treasure hunting,” the trio continued in a joint statement to TUDUM.com. “The cast have been great friends in real life since the beginning, and it’s been a relief to see our work on the show deepen over the years. They are true Pogues for Life.”
