Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has teamed up with Paramount Pictures to celebrate the first theatrical release of the highly anticipated feature film Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning.
The next installment in the epic action series written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie opens worldwide starting July 12. The film was filmed in Etihad Airways’ home city of Abu Dhabi, among other locations.
In the latest movie trailer, you can glimpse the iconic dunes of the Liwa Desert as well as the Midfield Terminal, Abu Dhabi’s soon-to-be new flagship airport terminal and the future home of Etihad Airways.
From June to August, guests flying Etihad First and Business Class will enjoy a cinema-inspired film snack menu and indulge in themed mocktails such as Mission Accomplished, Undercover Sipper, Secret Agent and Thyme’s Up. All Etihad Airways passengers will enjoy in-flight entertainment, including Mission: Impossible content.
In addition to the in-flight experience, Etihad Airways will celebrate the release with a co-branded marketing campaign that includes bespoke content and flight specials with self-destruct offers. Fans around the world will embark on their next mission in a movie-themed experience.
Later this year, passengers flying Etihad Airways will be able to experience a dedicated Mission: Impossible channel on E-BOX, its inflight entertainment service. The channel will feature all seven films in the Mission: Impossible franchise, as well as exciting behind-the-scenes footage.

This is the third time the blockbuster film series has chosen the UAE as its filming location, with Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol being the first franchise to film in the country in 2011.
