A fire that broke out on the roof of the RAK shopping mall in Ras Al Khaimah on Tuesday afternoon has now been extinguished. Videos circulating on social media showed thick black smoke billowing from the mall.

The civil defense team was immediately dispatched to the scene, and with the cooperation of the management of the mall, the fire on the roof was brought under control. No injuries have been reported and authorities are ensuring the health and safety of all tenants and shoppers is a top priority.

In a statement, the mall management said: “Following a small fire on the roof of RAK Mall, Line Investments & Property confirmed that the mall management took all necessary precautions to contain the fire, no injuries were reported and shopping The center is returning to normal operations.”
