On Tuesday, the UAE’s parliamentary body, the Federal National Council, expressed sympathy for the people of Syria and Turkey as the two countries struggled to An earthquake that killed more than 5,000 people.

The Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) Sakr Ghobash sent two telegrams to the Speaker of the Syrian People’s Assembly Hamda Sabag and the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop. condolences to the victims.

Gorbash also expressed his condolences to members of the parliaments of the two countries. In the telegram, he expressed his most sincere condolences to the victims of the earthquake, wishing them rest in peace, wishing their families peace and patience, and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
