UAE Ministry of Economy, Huawei Cloud start startup program

The UAE Ministry of Economy’s initiative, The Entrepreneurial Nation, has partnered with Huawei Cloud to launch the Huawei Cloud startup program. This program aims to bolster the UAE’s startup ecosystem by offering eligible businesses access to up to $150,000 in vouchers and resources from the Huawei Cloud ecosystem.

The Ministry of Economy highlights that 94% of businesses in the country fall under the small and medium-sized (SMEs) or startups category, contributing significantly to employment and GDP.

The Huawei Cloud startup program draws from Huawei’s extensive ICT and digitalization experience to support this sector, fostering innovation in the UAE and aligning with its digitization goals.

The second phase of The Entrepreneurial Nation project, launched in October 2022, focuses on developing tools to cultivate entrepreneurship culture and practices in the UAE through public-private partnerships.

The Huawei Cloud startup program globally aids technology startups’ growth, providing expertise, cloud innovations, and connections. It helps tackle funding and resource challenges, fostering innovative businesses for the region’s digital transformation.

Jiawei Liu, CEO at Huawei UAE, expresses the company’s commitment to the UAE’s SME sector growth and digital development.

Huawei Cloud’s services allow startups to scale efficiently, reducing infrastructure costs and gaining access to advanced technologies and support.

Entrepreneurs in the program can access Huawei’s ecosystem, mentorship, market development, and global networking.

Success stories like Intella and Bright showcase the program’s impact, with startups benefiting from cloud credits, resources, and opportunities for growth and innovation.

Huawei Cloud, a rapidly growing cloud service provider, offers a broad range of services globally and boasts an extensive network of nodes, technical partners, and certifications.
