From buggies to yacht charters, here are some activities you can enjoy at unbelievable prices

If you’re looking for adventure and excitement, now is the time. As summer approaches, we’re offering a wide range of adrenaline-packed outdoor activities at discounted prices, allowing you to explore the region’s natural wonders without breaking the bank.

I just found out because some of my friends were coming over from India, Canada and Saudi Arabia – of course they all wanted to explore the country and have outdoor adventures. I decided to take them first to Ras Al Khaimah; but on the way we found some cabs in Umm Al Quwain. I thought it was a great way to start the day, so we decided to book a tour. When I asked how much it cost, I was surprised: it was much cheaper than what is usually offered in winter. We were able to get a 30% discount.

Is it the same for other activities? I consulted with several travel industry experts and learned that many other companies have unbelievably low prices.

Here are some on my list:

A buggy ride is an exciting way to explore the desert. Various options are available, from 25cc vehicles to 400cc self drive rentals.

Strollers can be rented for anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours, depending on location and supplier. The best part is that the ride includes scenic spots in the desert.

Discount: Some off-road vehicle suppliers may offer discounts of up to 40% in the off-season. Try to book in advance or for a group, you can get better deals.

You can rent a jet ski for a specific period and explore the waterways at your own pace. Rentals can be found in many waterfront locations, including beaches, lakes and rivers. My friends and I tried it at Mamzar in Sharjah, and it was Dh70 an hour, which is much cheaper than what it charges in winter. I was told the price would double in high season.

Discount: Some companies may offer a 40% discount on weekday rentals or early bookings.

Fancy some dinner with a view? Dhow cruising is perfect. In Dubai, these cruises bypass the Deira River, the marina and the Dubai Water Canal – offering guests on-board buffet-style dinners and live entertainment.

Discount: “Per capita rates start from Dh45 in winter. However, the current price will be about Dh10 lower in winter,” Kaushik said.

A yacht charter can be a luxurious and memorable way to spend time with friends and family while sailing the seas. Crews are usually stationed on board for operations.

Discount: During summer, one can expect 20-30% discounts. If you’re good at haggling, you can save even more.
