A massive new Nerf experience center has finally opened inside the Trafford Palazzo. The NERF Action Xperience (NAX) program was first announced about two years ago.
Unfortunately, it will not be open at the beginning of the year school holidaybut will open a week or two before school returns on August 25th.
The “family-friendly” experience is the first UK location for NERF Action Xperience venues to roll out within the next five years and will feature “a host of action-packed indoor activities and themed arenas”.

The five themed venues will include
Sports @NERF AX – A dedicated active play area where players can get their heart pumping with seven different sports games
Training Course – An area where players can test their NERF blasting skills with eight digital target games
city ​​of chaos – A post-apocalyptic city demolition adventure
Mission X – Cargo bay or trapped spaceship blaster arena
stealth plan – A classified test bunker blasting site
The attraction will also house a restaurant from American-inspired chain Archie’s, known for its high-quality food, lavish menu and vibrant decor. It will serve up customer favorites, from burgers and fries to waffles and shakes.
It will also feature the UK’s first NERF dedicated retail store, an 8,000 sq ft store selling hundreds of NERF products as well as bespoke NERF AX merchandise.
This was made possible after Manchester-based leisure group Rocafella Leisure successfully licensed global branded entertainment company Hasbro to bring NAX to the UK.
Rocafella Leisure Group chief executive Chris Hayes said: “We are delighted to be opening this summer, just in time for the school holidays.
“We worked exhaustively with our partner, Hasbro, to curate and deliver a premier venue that offers highly active, fun-filled and adrenaline-fueled activities and challenges for all families and adults.
“The UK has never seen anything like it before, so we can’t wait for people to join us and see what’s to come. It’s going to be an action-packed and exciting experience like no other for everyone.”
The business is located within the former Barton Square, adjacent to Trafford’s The huge Primark store created around 50 new jobs.
Visitors will have one hour to play NERF and must be at least 5 years old to play. It is recommended that children under the age of eight be accompanied by a paying adult. Persons 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the venue. Adults can also play.
