The UAE welcomes the preliminary political framework agreement reached by all parties in Sudan to complete the transition period in a manner that strengthens the stability and prosperity of the Republic of Sudan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) confirmed in a statement that the agreement was an important step towards establishing a civilian-led government. The ministry also expressed hope that all parties in Sudan will successfully complete the transition period.
The Ministry commends the members of the tripartite mechanism group, members of the Quartet, EU and Troika for enlisting support for the framework agreement and ensuring consensus among all parties to achieve the stability, development, and prosperity of the Sudanese people.
The ministry highlighted the UAE’s desire to deepen cooperation with the Republic of Sudan in various fields and strengthen ties between the two countries and their peoples.
Furthermore, the ministry affirmed the UAE’s desire for a peaceful and successful political transition in Sudan to enhance its stability and bring prosperity and development to its people.
