kabul [Afghanistan]May 29 (ANI): Taliban Acting Prime Minister Mullavi Abdul Kabir met Obaid Rahman Nizamani, Chargé d’affaires ad interim of the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul, said that Afghanistan wants to cooperate with all its neighbours. China has established “a good relationship based on goodwill”, the Afghan base TOLO News reported.

The acting Taliban prime minister said at the meeting that Kabul and Islamabad needed to expand relations in regional transit and other economic areas.

Nizamani said Pakistani officials have been expressing positive views on issues such as the world’s engagement with the Taliban, the release of frozen assets in Afghanistan, and the expansion of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

“Transit and facilitation of visas, solutions to commuting challenges between the Pakistani and Afghan borders, the situation of Afghan refugees, and other issues were discussed,” said Mohammad Hasan Hakir, press director of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Political Affairs.

Mullah Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Taliban prime minister’s administrative deputy, said in a meeting with the Islamic Emirate’s consulate in Karachi that Afghanistan’s missions abroad should work to strengthen relations with countries around the world.

Meanwhile, the Khaama Press recently reported that as the Taliban’s hardline government continues to violate the rights of Afghan women under its regime, some international organizations and human rights bodies have routinely raised concerns about the country’s gender-based policies.

Amnesty International has dubbed the strict restrictions in Afghanistan a “war on women”, stressing the importance of prosecuting violators.

Additionally, it has documented multiple incidents in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, demonstrating gender-based discrimination tactics against women in its most recent report. (Arnie)
