Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Swami Brahmaviharidas, the head of the BAPS Hindu Mandir, conferred on the advancement of construction and the inauguration of Abu Dhabi’s inaugural traditional Hindu stone temple in the Middle East.
During a half-hour session in New Delhi, Brahmaviharidas briefed Modi on the forthcoming ‘Festival of Harmony,’ which will mark the opening of the grand temple in Abu Dhabi’s Abu Mureikha region on February 14, 2024.
Additionally, Brahmaviharidas shared updates regarding the ongoing ‘Festival of Inspirations’ at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA.
Brahmaviharidas conveyed blessings from His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj to Modi for his well-being, astute leadership, and the welfare of the people.
Mahant Swami Maharaj serves as the spiritual leader of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, the organization constructing the Abu Dhabi temple.
BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha stated that Modi attentively listened to the updates and praised the global social, cultural, and spiritual initiatives carried out by BAPS saints and volunteers for the greater good.
Modi extended his prayers and best wishes in response.
Later, a 3D printed model of the historic Abu Dhabi temple, celebrated as a symbol of love, peace, and harmony, was presented to Modi.
A similar meeting took place in March to review construction progress, with the temple’s completion exceeding 50%.
The under-construction temple is set to be open to the public on February 14.
