Held in the most populous Muslim-majority country and founded by the world’s largest Muslim organization, R20 will mobilize global leaders to help ensure religion plays a real and dynamic solution rather than a problem role in the 21st century.

R20 is mobilizing religious, political and economic leaders from G20 member countries and the rest of the world to build bridges of dialogue between East and West, encourage mutual understanding, peace and friendship among different peoples and civilizations of the world, and encourage honest and realistic dialogue among religious communities Internally and among religious communities to ensure that religion is the source of solutions and not the source of problems;

From 2022 to 2024, Indonesia, India and Brazil will successively serve as the rotating presidency of the G20. These countries have the largest Muslim, Hindu and Catholic populations in the world. As such, they are ideally positioned to provide “a place at the G20 table” for billions of religious adherents in the global South who live in countries not formally represented by the G20.

India will hold the rotating presidency of the G20 (or G20) for a one-year term from December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023.

India is currently part of the G20 Troika (current, former and incoming G20 presidency) comprising Indonesia, Italy and India. During India’s upcoming presidency, India, Indonesia and Brazil will form a troika. This will be the first time the troika will consist of three developing and emerging economies. (ANI)
