Wizz Air Abu Dhabi announced the new route this week after confirming it had expanded its fleet.
The ultra-low-fare airline has its ninth Airbus A321 neo aircraft. As such, it will launch a new route to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, this summer and re-launch popular routes to Larnaca in Cyprus, Santorini in Greece and Sokhag in Egypt.
Tickets on these routes are already on sale, with fares starting from AED 179. The flight schedule is as follows:

In addition to the new destinations, the airline added that the new aircraft will enable it to offer additional services between Abu Dhabi and Tirana, Yerevan, Baku, Alexandria, Kutaisi and Athens, Thereby adding to the ultra-low-cost travel footprint on the current network, Almaty, Astana, Sarajevo, Ankara, Tashkent and Samarkand.
Johan Eidhagen, General Manager of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi said: “The ninth aircraft will provide an additional 30,000 ultra-low fare seats per month, allowing us to expand our network. We will continue to expand our network in 2023, capitalizing on last year’s record growth. “
In 2022, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will operate more than 6,000 flights and carry more than 1.2 million passengers.
The airline, a joint venture between ADQ and Wizz Air Holdings, carried more than 600,000 point-to-point passengers to the UAE last year alone.
