The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), in partnership with Valeo, a global leader in the automotive industry, has established a technology center in the emirate to manufacture components for autonomous vehicles and electric vehicles.
A statement from ADDED said the center will develop industrial solutions to support local electric vehicle start-ups in Abu Dhabi and collaborate with local Startups electric vehicle company.

ADDED said the agreement to design and manufacture components for electric and autonomous vehicles will improve smart and sustainable mobility and contribute to the development of the transport sector, which is targeted by the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy (ADIS) and its initiatives one of the sub-sectors.
The agreement was signed by Arafat Al Yafei, Executive Director of ADDED’s Industrial Development Agency, and Tamer Aly, Vice President of Group Technology Center and General Manager of Valeo Egypt, in the presence of Rashed Abdulkarim Al Blooshi, General Manager of Valeo Egypt, in the presence of Deputy Minister of ADDED.
Al Yafei noted that this collaboration to develop a smart mobility center for electric, autonomous vehicle components in Abu Dhabi is in line with its initiative to ensure growth, sustainability and advanced technology go hand in hand in all aspects of our society. economic development.
Regarding the strategic transaction, Aly said: “I am very pleased with the signing of this MoU, which enables Valeo, a market leader in the design and production of high-tech automotive components for autonomous and electric vehicles, to have a presence in Abu Dhabi, Utilize their components and technology for Abu Dhabi’s nascent automotive industry and transfer this experience to Abu Dhabi’s high-tech and advanced education society.”
