Yas Island SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, the newest theme park on Yas Island, is a 183,000 square meter sea life-themed entertainment and education that opened on 23 May and will be open to the public.
Developed by Miral in partnership with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, the attraction was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
His Highness Sheikh Khaled also visited the Yas Seaworld Research and Rescue Centre, the first integrated research, rescue, rehabilitation, return and education center in the MENA region. His Highness reviewed the Centre’s projects, which work to protect marine wildlife, habitats and ecosystems in the Arabian Gulf, while educating and inspiring a new generation of ocean lovers.
HH was accompanied by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism and Chairman of Miral; Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Chief Executive Officer of Miral Group.
In addition to providing entertainment, education and family-friendly experiences, including up-close animal encounters and animal displays, Sea World Abu Dhabi also features rides and attractions, as well as dining and shopping destinations.
