UAE ministers to sign different agreements after Eid al-Fitr

ISLAMABAD: Well-informed sources say a high-level UAE delegation headed by Industry and Technology Minister Sultan Jabbar will visit Pakistan shortly after Eid to sign different agreements business recorder.

Sources said that during their visit to Pakistan on July 6, ADNOC Managing Director and CEO Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Chairman Masdar and COP28 Chairman-designate held an inter-ministerial meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss avenues for cooperation. 2023, and other pending matters/questions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants were assigned the following tasks: (i) DOC will hold a briefing on climate-related issues with visiting delegations at DOC; (ii) explore the possibility of arranging working lunches/dinners for delegations; (iii) The Ministry of Power will explore the possibility/prepare to sign the MOU on renewable energy cooperation that both parties have agreed and are ready to sign (Pakistan delegation is seeking to facilitate the signing by the Arab side during their visit). The Memorandum of Understanding can be signed at the Prime Minister’s Office; (iv) Ministry of Energy seeks/conveys facilitation for the Minister of Energy to meet with Dr. Sultan; (v) The Board of Investments (BoI) will present the recently appointed Pakistan Ahmed Al Hamid Al Bouti extended the invitation and shared views on UAE investments in Pakistan for appropriate use in briefing materials. The Petroleum Division will explore the possibility of a meeting between the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Resources and Dr Sultan, while the Ministry of Industry and Production will share input on cooperation with the UAE in the field of industry and production.
