UAE to take part in 2023 Hungarian Judo Masters

BUDAPEST, 7th July, 2023 (WAM) — The Organizing Committee of the Hungarian Judo Masters 2023 has approved the entry of a UAE team consisting of four men and one woman.

Emirati judokas will compete in five levels, women’s 52kg, men’s 66kg and 81kg, and men’s under 100kg and over 100kg.

The championship will be held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary from August 4th to 6th. Teams from 36 countries that have registered so far will participate.

It has also become a key event for athletes and teams to compete for the qualifications for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

In preparation for the upcoming games, the UAE national team is currently participating in a training camp in the Vitosha Mountains near Sofia, Bulgaria.

The training camp focuses on physical fitness and technical training to improve the performance of the competitors, so that they can achieve the best results in a competitive atmosphere.
