UAE’s Yusuff Ali reunites, donates Dh200k+ to old school after 52 years

UAE’s Yusuff Ali, of Lulu Group, returns to Kerala school after 52 years. He arrived in a personal chopper and later his Range Rover, welcomed with a red carpet. Teachers greet him with a silk shawl, he recites poetry, interacts with former classmates in a classroom.

He donates around Dh220,000 to the school fund, cuts cake, shares snacks, takes selfies.

Not his first visit, but the first reunion. Arriving in UAE in 1973, he transformed Lulu Group into a regional business powerhouse.

Also acquired Great Scotland Yard, now a hotel, worth Dh250 million.
