MANILA – Vice Ganda has been named one of the most trustworthy people in the 2023 Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards.
The “It’s Showtime” host has been hailed as the most trusted entertainment and variety show host, citing his innate ability to make people “laugh, cry and think about the irony and injustice of modern life”.
“His cultural influence has made him one of the most successful entertainers in the country,” Reader’s Digest says of the comedian.
“Vice is a national treasure, and her influential voice is heard in politics, philanthropy and, of course, as a beloved comedian, entertainer and presenter. Vice uses her stature to rally against discrimination against minorities . This only adds to his authenticity, which has earned him the respect and trust of all sectors of the community,” it added.
This is the fifth consecutive year that Vice Ganda has received this honor.
In addition to Vice Ganda, other individuals who have won the coveted award in the Most Trusted category include radio host Mike Enriquez, news and current affairs TV host Atom Araullo and athlete Alyssa Valdez.
Winners are determined following an independently commissioned survey, the results of which will be published exclusively in Reader’s Digest Philippines.
